Financial Accounting, Controlling & Taxation (Master)

FACT stands for Financial Accounting, Controlling & Taxation. In addition to scientific knowledge and methods, the FACT master's degree also imparts practical skills that are required for work in the areas of accounting and taxes. The qualification goal is not only the acquisition of extensive specialist knowledge from the areas of accounting and finance, but also to raise awareness of the effects of changes in society and the environment that affect future corporate developments and the regulatory environment such as digitization and corporate social responsibility.

Students have the opportunity to apply the knowledge acquired during their studies in dealing with practical questions in various business games and case studies, which are regularly offered together with well-known practice partners. In addition, DATEV and SAP knowledge are imparted, which are necessary for a successful start in practice.

Due to the combination of theoretical and practical teaching content, students are able to evaluate ex ante economic consequences of complex decisions in the area of corporate accounting and taxation after completing the FACT master. You can efficiently design entrepreneurial processes and optimize corresponding value added.

With the M.Sc. graduates are ideally prepared for the direct entry into the commercial area of medium-sized and listed companies, without the need for further professional training. The Master also enables you to work for auditing or consulting companies, such as B. Tax and business advice as well as accounting firms. After the legally stipulated period of practical employment has elapsed, graduates can immediately further qualify with the tax and / or auditor exam. The hierarchical levels for entry into the company range from assistants or speakers in listed companies to employment at management level in medium-sized companies or startups.

Through the first points of contact with digitization aspects in corporate accounting, it is possible to apply acquired knowledge in professional practice and to develop it further. The necessary theoretical know-how is also acquired during a FACT training for a further academic career at universities or research institutes.
