Practical projects

Praxis+

"Praxis+" The interdisciplinary and intercultural practice project to promote the transition to the regional labour market.

What is it about?

The Praxis+ project at WHZ is aimed at both international and German students from all WHZ disciplines as well as companies from the Zwickau region. The students work out a concrete task together with the company and a supervising professor, which the students have to solve independently.

Between three and seven students can participate in each project. At least two different disciplines should be represented. The interdisciplinary practical projects take place either extra-curricular (3 hours per week) or by arrangement with the respective professor, during the practical module.

The aim of the project is for the students to solve a project jointly with their different perspectives, problem-solving approaches and levels of knowledge, to engage in interdisciplinary and intercultural exchange, and in the process to gain important practical experience and, if applicable, to improve language skills. At the end of the project, the students receive a practical certificate and many important experiences. The companies in turn benefit from the project results and they get to know the students better so that they can recruit them for the company if necessary.

What are the general conditions?

  • In the case of an extra-curricular project, the students conclude an internship or working student contract with the companies, independently of WHZ.
  • Depending on the type of contract, the projects can last between three and six months
  • Approx. 2 semester hours per week are planned
  • Three to seven students per project the project is supervised by a professor
