What is a cooperative doctorate?
Doctoral students are jointly supervised by a professor from a university and a professor from the Musical Instrument Making degree program. After successful completion of the doctorate, the university awards the doctoral degree.During the application process, applicants must find one supervisor from the Musical Instrument Making degree program and one from a university.Cooperative doctoral candidates submit their dissertation and take an oral examination. Both supervisors are part of the examination committee. The university responsible for the doctorate awards the doctoral degree upon successful completion.
