Wood Design | Furniture and Product Design

Surrounded by forests, in a region with deep roots in wood craftsmanship, Germany's onlywood design degree program has established itself. The focus on wood, a fascinating naturalmaterial, combines the disciplines of furniture and product design as well as the theme ofplay and extends to free-artistic projects.

Experimental work in the university's own workshops is an integral part of the creativeprocess. The realization of the designs as individual pieces, models or prototypes shapes thesense for what is feasible, for economic efficiency and a responsible attitude towardsresources.
