Medical and Health Technology (Masters)

This Master’s course combines the fields of medicine and engineering. It builds on Bachelor’s degrees in which students have already obtained technical, medical and economic knowledge/ skills. The students build their capacity to think and act in a technology-oriented and interdisciplinary manner, as well as to work scientifically. To ensure this, the students will acquire comprehensive knowledge of several fields, including medicine and society, rehabilitation, Smart-Home technology and information management. This program teaches scientifically sound, applied, practice-oriented knowledge and methods to solve demanding tasks within the fields of engineering, medicine and health. By means of various projects, the students will also improve their social skills, learning to communicate better and to work more successfully in teams. As a result, the graduates will be able to work in an executive or leading position within the planning and implementation of projects, as well as in the integration of medical and information-processing systems. They will be well-prepared for working in healthcare or research institutions or similar industries (or for being self-employed), since they are qualified to work at the intersection of engineering, informatics and applied healthcare.
