On this page you will find important information and documents for organising your studies.
There are two main campus locations in Zwickau. If you do not know where your room is, check the maps below to find the corresponding building names!
In principle, you can withdraw from exam registration without providing a reason. However, please consider the relevant consequences of withdrawal. For instance, in the case of second or third exam attempts and other examinations that come with a deadline (as specified in the examination regulations), not taking these exams without providing recognized reason would still lead to a failed examination, even with prior withdrawal!
Important:
If you fail to take any examination that you are registered for without a prior withdrawal or valid reason, such as a medical attestation stating your inability to take the exam, said examination will be considered failed and assessed with the grade 5. Please especially do NOT just withdraw from second or third examination attempts or exams with a deadline if you would withdraw due to illness, as withdrawal would still lead to a failed examination in these cases.
Rather consider the following procedure:
A medical certificate, issued no later than on the day of the examination itself, is required to substantiate illness-related inability to take examinations. Starting from the winter semester of 2023/2024, a normal sick bill (GER: Arbeitsunfähigkeitsbescheinigung) will no longer be accepted. You need a special attestation for exam incapacity filled out by your doctor.
We recommend using the certificate printout „Ärztliche Bescheinigung für Nichtantritt zur Prüfung“, but your Doctors can also issue their own certificate for this purpose.
The Department of Student Affairs is in charge of general study and examination matters. You will find the DSA at Campus City Centre in PKB Building on the first floor left.
