About Georgia

Georgia is located on the Black Sea in a subtropical climate. It is a bridge between Europe and Asia, with historical and European-Asian cultural influences. Mediterranean lightness dominates Georgian cuisine and the varied nature which is rich in mountains, semideserts, and sea, attracts visitors. The untouched nature in the great Caucasus, for example, is characterized by rugged valleys, wild streams, medieval villages and unspoiled landscapes. For less nature-loving students, the coastal city of Batumi offers beaches for sociable summer evenings, and Georgian culture offers many sights that are definitely worth a trip. The former royal city of Mtskheta or the wineries in Kakheti around Telavi offer exciting opportunities to experience Georgian culture.
