Aims & Contents of the study programme

The German Business Communication major opens up numerous career prospects in global German-speaking and international companies. In addition to an excellent education in the common German and business language German as well as English, you will acquire extensive knowledge of economics and intercultural competence.

 

There are two study variants:

As a student of one of our partner universities, you will study German Business Communication as a double degree programme. The first two semesters you will study at your home university. The third semester you will start studying in Zwickau at the WHZ (prerequisite: German B1 level according to CEFR). In this option, you receive two Bachelor's degrees - one from your home university and another one from the WHZ.

As a full-time study programme with a Bachelor of Arts degree. You study from the beginning at WHZ (prerequisite: at least A2 German level and B2 English level according to CEFR).

Structure of the study programme

In the bachelor's programme German Business Communication, you will acquire practice-relevant knowledge and skills in the fields of

  • Business Administration,
  • Economics,
  • Law,
  • Linguistics and
  • Intercultural Communication.

International applicants (EU citizens and non-EU citizens) must have their university entrance qualification evaluated by Uni Assist. International applicants with an indirect university entrance qualification in Germany may attend the preparatory college (Studienkolleg) to obtain access to higher education in Germany. Uni-assist provides a self-check tool to check your university entrance qualification in Germany.

Please note the application deadlines for your start in the winter semester:

  • Applicants who completed their secondary education in Germany (Abitur) must apply via WHZ' online portal until August 31
  • Applicants who completed their secondary education abroad must apply via Uni Assist until June 30
